Free LKG The private schools have requested to cancel the tuition fee reduction for private schools in the scheme. State General Secretary of Schools Association Nandakumar issued a statement:
Nine lakh students have benefited from the Free Compulsory Education for All Act in private schools so far. Children from various vulnerable families such as families below the poverty line and families affected by disease are benefited by this scheme. Government of Tamil Nadu provides funds to private schools for this scheme.
The Tamil Nadu government spends Rs 40,000 per student per year in government schools. But the Tamil Nadu government provides very low fees to the students admitted in private schools.
In this case, the Tamil Nadu School Education Department has ordered to further reduce the minimum fees paid to private schools for students included in the Right to Compulsory Education Act.
This is unacceptable. The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu should intervene and cancel the reduction in tuition fees and take steps to fix reasonable fees," it said.

அனைவருக்கும் இலவச கட்டாய கல்வி சட்டத்தில் இதுவரை ஒன்பது லட்சம் மாணவர்கள் தனியார் பள்ளிகளில் படித்து பயன் பெற்றுஉள்ளனர். வறுமைக் கோட்டுக்கு கீழ் உள்ள குடும்பத்தினர் நோய் பாதிப்புக்கு உள்ளானவர் குடும்பத்தினர் என பல்வேறு நலிவடைந்த குடும்ப பிள்ளைகள் இந்த திட்டத்தில் பயன் பெறுகின்றனர். இந்த திட்டத்திற்கு மத்திய அரசு தரும் நிதியை தனியார் பள்ளிகளுக்கு தமிழக அரசு வழங்குகிறது.
அரசு பள்ளிகளில் படிக்கும் ஒரு மாணவருக்கு தமிழக அரசு ஆண்டுக்கு 40 ஆயிரம் ரூபாய் தமிழக அரசு செலவிடுகிறது. ஆனால் தனியார் பள்ளிகளில் சேர்க்கப்படும் மாணவர்களுக்கு மிக குறைந்த கட்டணத்தையே தமிழக அரசு வழங்குகிறது.
இந்நிலையில் கட்டாய கல்வி உரிமை சட்டத்தில் சேர்க்கப்படும் மாணவர்களுக்காக தனியார் பள்ளிகளுக்கு வழங்கப்படும் குறைந்த கட்டணத்தை மேலும் குறைத்து தமிழக பள்ளிக்கல்வி துறை உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது.
இது ஏற்றுக் கொள்ள முடியாதது.தமிழக முதல்வர் இதில் தலையிட்டு கல்வி கட்டண குறைப்பை ரத்து செய்து நியாயமான கட்டணத்தை நிர்ணயிக்க நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும்.இவ்வாறு அதில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.
