For general category to benefit from this scheme, 18-35; Disabled, Scheduled Castes, Women, Backward, Most Backward, Minorities, Ex-Servicemen should be maximum age up to 45. Eighth standard educational qualification and annual income should not exceed 5 lakh rupees.
In this case, under the leadership of the Tamil Nadu Industry and Trade Commissioner, a consultative meeting of state and district level representatives of differently-abled people's association was held in May. In it, a request was made to relax the differently-abled people from the rules of the employment scheme. The government of Tamil Nadu has ordered to remove the requirement to have educational qualification. This new order has been welcomed by the differently abled welfare association.

இந்நிலையில், தமிழக தொழில் வர்த்தகத் துறை கமிஷனர் தலைமையில், மே மாதம் மாநில, மாவட்ட அளவிலான மாற்றுத் திறனாளிகள் சங்க பிரதிநிதிகள் ஆலோசனைக் கூட்டம் நடந்தது.அதில் வேலைவாய்ப்பு திட்ட விதிகளில் இருந்து, மாற்றுத் திறனாளிகளுக்கு தளர்வு ஏற்படுத்த கோரிக்கை வைக்கப்பட்டது.இந்நிலையில், மாற்றுத் திறனாளிகளுக்கு அதிகபட்சமாக, 55 வயது வரை என உயர்த்தியும், எட்டாம் வகுப்பு கல்வித் தகுதி இருக்க வேண்டும் என்ற விதியை நீக்கியும், தமிழக அரசு உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது.இந்த புதிய அரசாணையை, மாற்றுத் திறனாளிகள் நலச் சங்கத்தினர் வரவேற்றுள்ளனர்.
