Regarding this, University Grants Committee Chairman Jagadish Kumar said, "This step has been taken to enable the applicants to choose the city for their examination centers. The National Examinations Agency has made efforts to ensure the number of candidates in the examination centers and the quality of the examination centre. Also, additional examination centers have been added,” he said.

இதில், இளங்கலைக்கான 2ம் கட்ட நுழைவு தேர்வின்போது குளறுபடிகள் காரணமாக பல்வேறு மையங்களில் தேர்வு ரத்து செய்யப்பட்டது. மேலும், தேர்வை சீர்குலைக்க நாசவேலைகள் நடப்பதாக வந்த அறிக்கைகளை தொடர்ந்து, பல்வேறு மையங்களில் தேர்வு ரத்து செய்யப்பட்டது.

இது குறித்து பல்கலைக் கழக மானிய குழு தலைவர் ஜெகதீஷ் குமார் கூறுகையில், ‘‘விண்ணப்பதாரர்கள் தங்களுக்கான தேர்வு மையங்களுக்கான நகரத்தை தேர்வு செய்வதற்கு ஏதுவாக இந்த நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
தேசிய தேர்வு முகமையானது தேர்வு மையங்களில் தேர்வர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை மற்றும் தேர்வு மையத்தின் தரத்தை உறுதி செய்வதற்கான முயற்சிகளை மேற்கொண்டுள்ளது. மேலும், கூடுதல் தேர்வு மையங்களும் சேர்க்கப்பட்டுள்ளது,” என்றார்.
