Opportunity has been given to those who have completed Diploma in Civil Engineering in the posts of Surveyor, Draftsman, Surveyor and Assistant Surveyor.
In this connection, the Chief Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu, Kumar Jayant has stated in the Government:
Tamil Nadu Survey Records Department dependent work has been amended in the Special Rules to revise the educational qualifications for direct appointment to the following posts.
Certified for PE (Civil Engineering or PE (Geo Informatics) or MSc (Geography) or MSc (Geophysical and Geo Information Technology) for the Survey and Records sub-surveyor posts and for the post of Surveyor (Field Surveyor) Civil Engineering Or parents can apply for the Army Trade Surveyor Certificate issued by the Madras Engineering Group.
Similarly, holders of Diploma in Civil Engineering or NDCT Certificate issued by NCDVT or Army Trade Draftsman Certificate issued by Madras Engineering Group may apply for the post of Draftsman.
Thus stated in the Government. For the posts of Surveyors and Draftsmen, Class 10 has so far been considered as an educational qualification and has been filled through DNBSC Group-4 examination. Vacancies in those posts are expected to be filled by selection as new qualifications are currently being determined.
It is to be noted that the posts of Surveyor and Draftsman were not included in the announcement for Group-4 examination released by DNBSC yesterday.

நிலஅளவை மற்றும் பதிவேடுகள் துணை ஆய்வாளர் பதவிகளுக்கு பிஇ (சிவில் இன்ஜினீயரிங் அல்லது பிஇ (ஜியோ இன்ஃபர்மேட்டிக்ஸ் அல்லது எம்எஸ்சி (புவியியல்) அல்லது எம்எஸ்சி (புவி தொலையுணர்வு மற்றும் புவி தகவல் தொழில்நுட்பம் முடித்தவர்களும், நில அளவையர் (ஃபீல்டு சர்வேயர்) பதவிக்கு சிவில் இன்ஜினீயரிங் டிப்ளமோ அல்லது என்சிவிடி-யால் சர்வேயர் படிப்புக்கு வழங்கப்பட்ட என்டிசி சான்றிதழ் அல்லது மெட்ராஸ் இன்ஜினீயரிங் குரூப் வழங்கிய ஆர்மி டிரேட் சர்வேயர் சான்றிதழ் பெற்றோரும் விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம்.
அதேபோல், வரைவாளர் (டிராப்ட்ஸ்மேன்) பதவிக்கு சிவில்இன்ஜினீயரிங் டிப்ளமோ அல்லதுவரைவாளர் படிப்புக்கு என்சிடிவிடி-யால் வழங்கப்பட்ட என்டிசி சான்றிதழ் அல்லது மெட்ராஸ் இன்ஜினீயரிங் குரூப் வழங்கிய ஆர்மி டிரேட் டிராப்ட்ஸ்மேன் சான்றிதழ் பெற்றவர்கள் விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம்.
இவ்வாறு அரசாணையில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. நிலஅளவையர், வரைவாளர் பதவிகளுக்கு இதுவரை கல்வித் தகுதியாக 10-ம் வகுப்பு தேர்ச்சிநிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டு, டிஎன்பிஎஸ்சி குரூப்-4 தேர்வு மூலமாக நிரப்பப்பட்டு வந்தன. தற்போது புதியகல்வித்தகுதி நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டிருப்பதால் அந்தப் பதவிகளில் உள்ள காலியிடங்கள் தனித்தேர்வு மூலமாக நிரப்பப்படும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.
டிஎன்பிஎஸ்சி நேற்று முன்தினம்வெளியிட்ட குரூப்-4 தேர்வுக்கான அறிவிக்கையில் நிலஅளவையர், வரைவாளர் பதவிகள் இடம்பெறவில்லை என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
