Employees who worked in government transport corporations and retired the day before yesterday, returned without receiving pension benefits.
In state transport corporations, those who had to retire two years ago at the age of 58 were given a two-year extension of service due to reasons including corona spread and lack of funding. Thus, more than 1,000 people retired yesterday. Up to 15 lakh rupees should have been given as pension benefit to each. But, no cash benefit was provided.
There is no procedure including the completion ceremony. They went to the offices of the Managing Director and obtained only the certificate of retirement. பணி நிறைவு விழா உள்ளிட்ட எந்த நடைமுறையும் இல்லை. மேலாண் இயக்குனர் அலுவலகங்களுக்குச் சென்று, ஓய்வு பெற்றதற்கான சான்றிதழை மட்டும் பெற்றுச் சென்றனர். அவர்களில் பலர் மிகுந்த மன உளைச்சலுடன் காணப்பட்டனர்.
