பெரியார் பல்கலையின் சுற்றறிக்கையை திரும்ப பெற கல்வியாளர் வேண்டுகோள்

State Secretary General of the State Platform for Public Schools Gajendrababu has issued a statement: Heads of Departments and College Principals have been requested to take appropriate action to ensure that students studying at Periyar University and College campuses carry out political campaigns in the name of various organizations and to avoid this and to ensure that the university and college campuses are safe for students to study. This circular is completely against the dignity of democracy.

The notion that college campus is not safe if students talk politics is very misleading. Is there such a level of law and order disorder in India? The question arises as to whether there is no room for alternative opinion here. How can a strong democracy be created in India without students discussing the politics that precede the Constitution? Where else can such a debate take place without such a debate in colleges and universities? Reasonable discussion can help expose mistakes. People will get clarity. People will question the government if they get clarity. Attempts are being made to prevent the debate by not being able to face the questions. It is an act of deprivation of academic freedom.

பெரியார் பல்கலைக்கழக, கல்லூரி வளாகங்களில் பயிலும் மாணவர்கள் பல்வேறு அமைப்புகள் பெயரில் அரசியல் சார்ந்த பரப்புரைகளை மேற்கொள்வதாகவும், இதை தவிர்க்க மாணவர்களுக்கு அறிவுறுத்தி, பல்கலைக்கழக, கல்லூரி வளாகங்கள் கல்வி பயிலும் மாணவர்களுக்கு பாதுகாப்பானது என்பதை உறுதிசெய்திட உரிய நடவடிக்கை மேற்கொள்ள துறைத் தலைவர்கள், கல்லூரி முதல்வர்கள் கோரப்பட்டுள்ளார்கள். இந்த சுற்றறிக்கை மக்களாட்சி மாண்புகளுக்கு முற்றிலும் எதிரானது. மாணவர்கள் அரசியல் பேசினால் கல்லூரி வளாகம் பாதுகாப்பாக இருக்காது என்ற கருத்தாக்கம் மிகவும் தவறானது. இந்தியாவில் சட்டம் -ஒழுங்கு அந்த அளவு சீர்கெட்டு உள்ளதா?


மாற்றுக் கருத்திற்கு இங்கு இடமில்லையா என்ற கேள்விகள் எழுகிறது. அரசமைப்புச் சட்டத்தின் முகப்புரை முன்வைக்கும் அரசியலை மாணவர்கள் விவாதிக்காமல், எவ்வாறு ஒரு வலுவான மக்களாட்சியை இந்தியாவில் உருவாக்க முடியும். கல்லூரி, பல்கலைக்கழகங்களில் இத்தகைய விவாதம் நடத்தாமல் வேறு எங்கு இத்தகைய விவாதம் நடத்த இயலும்? நியாயமான விவாதம் தவறுகளை அம்பலப்படுத்த உதவும்.


மக்கள் தெளிவு பெறுவார்கள். மக்கள் தெளிவு பெற்றால் அரசைக் கேள்வி கேட்பார்கள். கேள்விகளை எதிர்கொள்ள முடியாததால் விவாதத்தை தடுக்க முயற்சி நடக்கிறது. இது கல்வியியல் சுதந்திரத்தை பறிக்கும் நடவடிக்கை.
