மாணவர்கள் கல்வி கடன் தள்ளுபடி நாடாளுமன்றத்தில்: விஜய்வசந்த் எம்பி வலியுறுத்தல்
As the war between Russia and Ukraine continues, all Indian students studying in Ukraine have recently returned home.
Kanyakumari MP Vijaywasanth, who raised the issue during Parliamentary Question Hour yesterday, sought information on the education loans of students returning home from Ukraine. Further the Union Government should waive the student loan considering the current situation of the students. He also demanded that the interest rate on the loan be reduced.
In response, the Union Finance Minister said 1319 students had obtained loans from 21 banks. The loan amount is Rs 121.62 crore. He said the government would consult with the Federation of Indian Banks and take appropriate action. ரஷ்யா-உக்ரைன் இடையே போர் நடைபெற்று வரும் நிலையில், உக்ரைன் நாட்டில் கல்வி பயின்று வந்த இந்திய மாணவர்கள் அனைவரும் அண்மையில் தாயகம் திரும்பினர்.
இந்நிலையில் நேற்று நாடாளுமன்ற கேள்வி நேரத்தில் கேள்வி எழுப்பிய கன்னியாகுமரி எம்பி விஜய்வசந்த், உக்ரைனில் இருந்து தாயகம் திரும்பிய மாணவர்களின் கல்வி கடன் குறித்த தகவலை கேட்டறிந்தார். மேலும் ஒன்றிய அரசு மாணவர்களின் தற்போதைய சூழலை கருத்தில் கொண்டு மாணவர்களின் கடனை தள்ளுபடி செய்யவேண்டும். கடன் தொகையின் வட்டி விகிதத்தை குறைக்கவேண்டும் எனவும் கேட்டுக்கொண்டார்.
இதற்கு பதிலளித்த ஒன்றிய நிதித்துறை இணை அமைச்சர் 1319 மாணவர்கள் 21 வங்கிகளில் கடன் பெற்றுள்ளனர். கடன் தொகை ரூ121.62 கோடியாகும். இந்தியன் வங்கி கூட்டமைப்புடன் அரசு ஆலோசனை செய்து தகுந்த நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கும் என தெரிவித்தார்.
