Serosurvey Phase III for COVID-19 is scheduled to start from June 28th, 2021 in all the Districts. In this connection, all the Deputy Director of Health Services have already been informed about the Serosurveillance Study for COVID-19 (Phase III) to be conducted across all districts of Tamil Nadu through Zoom VC on 24-06-2021 at 4.00 p.m. vide reference 3rd cited.
An Orientation training has also been conducted on 26-06-2021 (Saturday) to all the DDHS and second level officers concerned along with the District Epidemiologist, APM, District Microbiologist and Survey Team Members.
The following instructions and guidelines are given to all the DDHS for the smooth conduct of the Serosurvey in the Districts.
1) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Guidelines for selecting the Household (HH) for COVID-19 Serosurvey (Annexure-A) has to be followed without any deviation.
2) Selection of an individual in a Household should be done by using
a KISH Grid Chat as detailed in Annexure - B.
3) A total of 888 Clusters spread across 46 HUDS have been included in the Serosurvey. HUD wise No.of Clusters allotted is enclosed in Annexure - C.
4) The Survey Team should explain about the survey and share the Participant Information Sheet to the participant either in Tamil or English format as detailed in Annexure - D.
5) A Consent Form (Annexure - E) is also enclosed both in English and Tamil version, and the Survey Team has to get the written consent by getting signature from the study participant/individual. 6) The Cluster Pouches & Consumables containing the sample
collection materials and other consumables required for the Serosurvey Phase III will be dispatched from State Public Health Laboratory (SPHL), O/o DPH&PM, Chennai-6 and is likely to reach the respective HUDS on Sunday (27.06.2021). The DDHS are instructed to receive the Cluster Pouches and other Consumables as per the supply plan attached, receive it and distribute the same to the team members accordingly.
7) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Blood Collection, Cluster Pouch Labelling & Packaging and Transportation is also enclosed in Annexure - F.
8) Regional Referral Labs, designated HUDs, samples to be referred and the allotment of SARS COV-2 IgG Test Kits for each lab is also enclosed Annexure - G.
